Nee How is "hello" in Chinese. My first critical bit of learning. Well Mrs. Brajcich and I made it here and had a great flight. 12 hours to Shanghai but we arrived excited and ready to tackle all challenges. We were greeted by 2 lovely teachers with flowers and warm wishes. Getting the whole internet and wifi thing has been a bit of a challenge so this is the first time I've had the opportunity to connect with my laptop.
Our first day yesterday was full of details like Walmart for water and supplies (yes they have Walmart), SIM cards for cell phones (didn't work), and sorting out the food thing (a little unnerving to say the least). We were invited to a teacher's house to make dumplings and met her son and 3 of his friends. I have some amazing photos that I hope to upload later on today.
We are off to the school this morning (Sunday) to set up our technology (fingers crossed). I'll post more when I return and have things sorted out.
Shout out to Ashto for posting on the blog! We had a great flight:)
